My recordings are pausing, stuttering, or out of sync with the audio. But in very narrow circumstances, for example, Modern Family on ABC, the show is seen by a PlayOn recording for about 10 days and attempts to record automatically before the episode is available to download for free (without ABC credentials). Having trouble recording or streaming with PlayOn Home Here are some ways to solve. In the case of failed recordings, I don't automatically re-record by default because usually it indicates a bug that needs to be addressed by a PlayOn update to work. It's fairly flexible, meaning that if there's specific functionality you don't like, it's not too hard to disable or modify it. Stated in simple and general terms, this consisted of a change of scene with out a change of scene - which anomaly is neither a play on words nor an. I'm also debating adding some smarts in there at some point that can tell when content might think it's completely downloaded but it's not - more than a few times you hit an issue with the browser and either the recording abruptly stops or gives up because of some issue with the site or service, and that doesn't seem to always be picked up by PlayOn as "not done". One additional thing I added a while back was automatically retrying partial recordings. I have a number of powershell scripts that run at regular intervals that do things like move downloaded content to a consistent folder hierarchy, detection and handling of watched media, consistent renaming with TheTVDB, etc. Depending on how many subscriptions you have and how much you record entire seasons at one go, this happens not too infrequently for me. recording still starts from the same place it was stopped at during the first time I watched it - regardless of what I do. removed all my other devices from access to amazon. I've found a lot of partial recordings happen if you shut down the service or computer without knowing whether a recording is in progress as well. have tried resetting show on amazon fire tv and on multiple web browsers. I don't know if this is for you, but I've been working on better automating a lot of PlayOn's functions for a few years now - one of the things I've been trying to do is increase the reliability of the recordings - as mentioned, there's a few cases where you can automate around either retrying partial or waiting until an opportunistic time to retry a failed recording (the latter being like ABC as mentioned above).
